About the Workshop

Experience the outdoors with us in person! Accessibility in the Wild is an all-day, interactive event focused on breaking down physical and informational barriers in outdoor recreation.

Whether you are a land manager, a conservation advocate, or simply passionate about the outdoors, this workshop will take you out of the classroom and onto the trails. You will gain practical, on-the-ground experience in:

Improving trail access: Discover firsthand the surface types, slopes, and widths that make a trail truly inclusive.

Evaluating Environments: Learn how to accurately identify, assess, and document common accessibility barriers.

Creating Inclusive Spaces: Equip yourself with the knowledge and actionable strategies needed to foster outdoor environments that everyone can safely and confidently enjoy.

Step outside with us, connect with fellow advocates, and help champion freedom of choice in the outdoors.

Note to participants: Please come prepared to be outdoors. We recommend bringing water and weather-appropriate gear. Lunch will be provided.
